Pakistani girl Afsheen Gul from Sindh has made a full recovery after receiving free medical treatment for a rare neck condition that had severely affected her life. Her case, first highlighted in 2017, reached Indian spine specialist Dr. Rajagopalan Krishnan of Apollo Hospital in Delhi, who offered to perform the complex surgery at no cost.

Following multiple procedures completed in 2022, doctors successfully corrected the alignment of her skull and cervical spine, allowing Afsheen to hold her head straight and regain independence. Her family described the doctor as an “angel,” calling the recovery a powerful reminder of compassion that goes beyond borders.
